Creation of fine woodturnings is a time intensive process, beginning with the acquisition of wood, either puchased or found, followed by a variety of seasoning and turning techniques which vary with the woodturning artist and the wood itself. Please, visit the following pages to view my contribution to the woodturning movement .

Small, one-of-a-kind  woodturnings make great  and affordable  "Thank You" gifts. Can be used as  ring holders. I like to use them as my guitar pick holders.  This small  bowl was woodturned from Curly Maple, Bloodwood, Shedua, Leopard Wood and Ebony. Top is Box Elder Burl dyed blue.

This vessel was woodturned from a Tasmanian Eucalyptus Burl. Hand carved ebony  finial complements beauty of this burl.

Burl is a large knob like projection or a bulge formed along the trunk, or sometimes limbs of trees. The wood tissue within the burl is extremely disoriented and often contains many bud formations. The resulting figure is fascinating and unique.
